At the beginning of 2008 I decided to change my life, I felt like I was turning into a one-man factory or
assembly line, turning out paintings in a similar style and size as the ones that had sold in my previous year's exhibitions.
When you paint as a full-time artist, this is one of the pitfalls, you have to keep a roof over your head, but for me,
it became soul-destorying and I felt like I was cheating myself and my buyers.

So I decided to take a full-time day job again, running the Graphic Dept at the Arts Centre in Melbourne,
and continue to develop myself as an artist at a pace that I am more comfortable with.

I still have my studio and am now working mainly on commissions and art prizes,
and also experimenting with new mediums and techniques.
